Help · Story Lab

Turn your story into structured knowledge.

Story Lab complements manuscript processing with character, location and editorial information you can inspect and develop independently.

Story Codex

Create and maintain structured entries for important parts of the story, such as characters and locations. The goal is to make fictional-world information easier to inspect than scattered notes.

Editorial diagnostics

Where diagnostic views are available, use them to explore patterns found during manuscript analysis, including chronology, relationships, repetition and inconsistencies.

Use the manuscript as evidence

Generated story knowledge should remain traceable to what the manuscript actually establishes. Review AI-generated summaries when details are intentionally ambiguous or evolve during the book.

Review after major revisions

If a rewrite changes chronology, relationships or character history significantly, review or regenerate affected Story Lab information so it does not become a snapshot of an older draft.
