GDPR information
Privacy notice
The controller for the processing described here is Roberto Marín Muñoz at the address and contact details shown in the legal notice above.
Data we process and why
Website delivery and security: IP address, request time, requested resource, browser/device information and security events may be processed to deliver the service, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Accounts and service operation: email address, authentication data, account settings, credit balances, job status and service history are processed to create and operate your account and provide requested features (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Manuscripts and generated content: documents, prompts, reference media and generated results are stored and processed only as needed to perform the task you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Depending on the feature and provider selected, relevant content is sent to an AI service provider.
Payments and billing: billing details, transaction references and purchased credits are processed to fulfil purchases and meet tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by AiToolsForWriters.
Contact and service messages: messages and contact details are used to answer enquiries and send operational emails (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Newsletter email is sent only following the applicable consent/confirmation process (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Optional audience measurement: Google Analytics is activated only after analytics consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). See “Cookies and analytics” below.
Service providers and recipients
We use providers only where needed for the requested service. These currently include Amazon Web Services (hosting, authentication, storage, databases, queues, logs and email), Stripe (payments), OpenAI and Anthropic (text-processing features), fal.ai and model providers made available through it (Promo Studio media generation), Sendy and its configured delivery infrastructure (newsletter), Google (Analytics and reCAPTCHA), and Telegram for limited operator notifications. The exact AI provider depends on the feature or option selected. We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers are based on an applicable adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses or another safeguard permitted by Chapter V GDPR. Provider-specific terms and locations can change; contact us if you need information about the safeguard applicable to a particular task.
Retention and account deletion
You can request account deletion from the application settings. Access is revoked when the request is made and operational account data, manuscripts and generated files are scheduled for deletion after a 30-day grace period. You may cancel during that period. Payment and transaction records may be retained beyond account deletion where required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal-claims purposes. Server and security logs are retained only for operational and security needs; provider-side retention may also apply under the relevant processing agreement.
Automated decisions
AiToolsForWriters does not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. AI-generated output is a tool result requested by you, not a decision about your legal rights.

Google Analytics
With your consent, Google Analytics 4 measures visits and interactions so we can understand how the service is used. Browser/device data, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP and interaction events may be sent to Google. Google states that Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses. Consent Mode is configured with analytics storage denied by default; advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation remain denied.
Google Ads and AdSense
The current website code does not display Google Ads or AdSense and does not enable Google advertising or remarketing cookies. If advertising features are introduced later, this notice and the consent choices must be updated before those features are activated.
Google reCAPTCHA
Google reCAPTCHA is used on registration and selected public forms to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. It may process device, browser, IP and interaction information. Its use supports our legitimate interest in protecting accounts and infrastructure from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); any non-essential device storage remains subject to § 25 TDDDG.
Your data
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, email support@aitoolsforwriters.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
